What legitimate reasons could one have for needing this feature? It wouldn't work most of the time anyway. One index file and the entire process collapses.


what about: giving your users a way to use FTP-upload without giving them FTP-rigts? They can upload all their pics into some free webhost that allows directory listing or a personal webspace. With that feature they can add those files easily.

Or maybe an easy way to migrate from gallery to cpg? Just use that leechfeature to copy all the images.

cpg1.3.0 has multiple uploads by URI, that's basically what you're requesting imo...

not really.. you'll have to copy and paste EVERY url into that. Gallery filters out the right URL on a page automaticly. So you give the url for http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/index.php, it loads the page, filters the URLs that links to an image and you can select the ones you want and add them.
