Comments and Rating
« on: May 16, 2005, 12:56:51 am »

I have been running Coppermine on 2 websites, one for a few months, the other is a new install.  Both of the installations are bridged with phpbb.  Here are the diferences:
Homesteadwrestlingclub.com
phpBB version: 2.0.14 - No Mods
CPG Version: 1.3.2

aumcyouth.com
phpBB version: 2.0.15 - Profile Control Panel Mod, Topic Calendar Mod.
CPG Version: 1.3.3

I cannot even see the comment or rating bar, is this done in the admin?  I cannot seem to find it.  I have comments and rating enabled for all users, except banned.

All of these work in the homestead CPG.

Make sure you enabled comments and rating in the groups page and in album properties.

Here are some screenshots of my settings.  I do not think I understand what you mean by album properties, but here they are.

Admin Control Panel, Comments Section

The images are rather large so I just put links.

Hi,

 i have a similar problem.

I have 2 galleries, one in Lycos, that works fine, and one in 100webspaces that have the same problem that you.

The problems is  some People cant see/add comments in some Photos.

But I have seen some things that perhaps can be usefull for the DEV team.

In the Page that I have the problem... the line "Powered by Coppermine Photo Gallery" does not appears.  It must be imposible (I dont use any special Theme).
I think that the script is ending badly [[ Sorry for my English, i can't express better]]

I put the end of the source that i receive in my browser

</script>

You can see the Table for the ratings, and after that the table for the EXIF, ... and ... Suddenly   the script stops and appears some JavaScript for my Free-Web-Host

I hope the this can be usefull for the dev Team for find any bug.

NOTE: I Know that my Brother write a comment in my gallery, in one Photo where is impossible for my do it. He have Win98, for this reason  I think that the problem can appear only with some OS/browsers. I use Firefox and IE in WinXP and i can not  see the comments.

NOTE 2: If I compare the Exif data shown in my two different Galleries. In Lycos (where work fine), The script show more onformation than in the another Gallerie (where the commments dont work)
The last Exif information is the date where the Photo was taken, but in Lycos, the script show 6 more attributes (or fields)

Note 3: This problem does not appear in every Photo, only in some of them.. Im trying to find in what kind of Photos this appears. I i find something new i tell you

Sorry for my English.....
Im tryin to put any screenshot

I put 2 Screenshots ...

Here you can see a page that work fine
(https://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fpersonal.telefonica.terra.es%2Fweb%2Fmiri%2Ffotosforos%2FSin%2520t%25EDtulo-3.png&hash=533a68c3757433cd7b67f997561534170682b56a)

Here you can see a page that does not work fine
You can see that some Exif data is missing, and the "POwered by... " line  is missing too (also the comments seccion)

Done, Solved.  I was completly unaware that the properties were not accessed via the admin menu bar.  I kept looking there.  Thank you so much.  btw your FAQ does not mention "Album Properties" in one sentence.  I searched through there and found it.  Again, awesome gallery.  Problem solved.

Just a suggestion for Acoran, have you tried another template to see if it works?  It could be the template file...

Thanks again,
Eric
