Batch Add - Photo Ownership
« on: May 17, 2005, 06:12:36 pm »

I run a board that allows users to upload a large quantity of photos.  I've allowed users to upload via ftp in order to save time.  When I batch add the files though, I can put them in any album that I want, but they are listed as being uploaded by me.  Therefore, the file sizes for the photos, is not included in the quota of the users who uploaded them.

I think it would be a great idea to allow the ownership of batch added files to be transferred to whichever user's album the photos will be stored in.

Users can already upload up to 10 pictures at a time via the web interface or any number of pictures via the XP Publisher interface.  I believe there are also people working on various hacks of the Gallery upload java application for Coppermine.

Batch add is reserved for the admin and there are no plans on adding the ability to "change ownership" of pictures.
