Deleting Files
« on: May 12, 2005, 12:56:56 am »

I had a problem with an album - it would not add all the files  - so I decided to delete the album and retry to add the files to see if that would fix.  Answered Ok and apply modifications, and recreated the album and tried to re-batch upload.  Thew error message I received is that the file were already in the database.  The only place I can find to delete anything is in the album  - so I am lost.  What I did to make it work for now uis to rename the directory so the database did not think the files were duplicates, but I really do not need all that extra data.  So, how can I get rid of that bad data?  Is there a verify database command somewhere to check all links?

It looks like the delete process was not completed successfully. You will need to use a script like PhpMyAdmin to modify the database. You will want to remove the entries for the images manually from the pictures table.

was done through admin interface and yes could search through MySql - but that should not be th way to fix some internal error.

Maybe not possible now - but a data verify is in most database style programs  -hint for features....
