gallery offline
« on: May 07, 2005, 06:34:51 am »

i've search and searched and searched and i don't seem to be able to find an answer...so either it's not here or i'm just dumb...and my being dumb is a very good possibility.

anyways, i set up my coppermine install, got an album in there, had it set offline so no one could view it yet and then logged out so i could view it without being admin.

i forgot to set it back as online before logging out and now when i go to the page...it says gallery offline and when i click login, it does nothing.

any advice?

site is at http://jow.bagofhell.com/img/coppermine

thanks
bryan

I see what you are saying about not being able to log into your gallery. However, I tested two of my galleries in IE and Firefox and I was able to access the login page. So when you selected: Downloaded from: unknown do you really not know where you get the coppermine installation files?

For future reference, to do this type of testing where you compare admin and user views, try using a separate browser so that you don't have to log in/out of one to test.

Did you make any modifications to files other than your theme?

You can either use mysqladmin to manually update the config table or you can subvert the update.sql process to change it for you to set the gallery back to ONLINE.

rename your sql/update.sql to update.sql.sav
make a new update.sql put this line in it:

Code: [Select]
UPDATE `CPG_config` SET value='0' WHERE name='offline';

upload it to coppermines sql directory on your host.

go to http://jow.bagofhell.com/img/coppermine/update.php

Then try to login. (you may need to refresh the page)

delete your bogus update.sql, rename the original back and re-upload it.
