Broken Film Strip
« on: May 04, 2005, 03:02:35 pm »

I have uploaded text files(PDF) and movie files (quicktime) successfully. After one week they have suddenly failed to open. I get the broken film strip for quicktime and the PDF does not execute. What happened?

I'm a newbie. Don't pull my underwear over my head. ...again....please.

next time, please post a deeper link - it's hard to search your page before actually finding what you're reporting to have issues:
Your gallery is at http://www.emergeagent.com/gallery/
A PDF is at http://www.emergeagent.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-991 that points to http://www.emergeagent.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10001/Emerge_Screenplays.pdf (which opens fine). To get a fimstrip with this file involved (with more than one thumb), go to http://www.emergeagent.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=topn&cat=19&pos=1 for example.
All thumbnails and files appear fine to me, so the issues you have are probably client-sided. Try using another PC/OS/browser. If this doesn't help, try your local security software: silly tools like "Norton's Internet Security" (which should be named "Internet Obscurity" imo) might be related to this as well. Please post, what OS and browser you're currently using (a screenshot might be helpful as well).
However, I noticed that the URL in the pic info section, there's a link to the sourceforge page, so I guess you haven't set your ecard link in coppermine's config screen properly (it must be http://www.emergeagent.com/gallery !)

I've also gone through your site and have not been able to duplicate your problem. If you are still noticing the problem do as GauGau suggested and also provide us a (deep) link to the page that the error is occurring.
