Good point omega. Here's how I would respond; Does it have gas? Did you check the battery voltage?
My point is I was just asking for a little direction.
This discussion will lead nowhere if you don't post an URL...
Answers like that in my opinion are just a cop out. If you really want to help people here try to conform to their needs, not demand they conform to yours.
Please ask anything you want.
I was willing to put my effort into it, less the url, you should be too or you shouldn't say anything at all!
Nothing personal omega, you sounded like you were gonna try and help, it's the other comment that pisses me off. These boards are supposed to be for help but it just makes me laugh that people will spend time writing 50 words siting rules yet the answer could have been written in 25 or less! Not all of us spend countless hours here and understand the ropes. We are frustrated and seeking help, don't aggravate that, just try to help. If you can't do that then maybe you need to think about why this forum exists. If you were selling something here you would be losing customers to your competition no doubt.
If our work on Coppermine paid our bills we can afford to spend extra time to please people like you who do not respect our volunteered time. We would deal with jerks with a smile.
Yes, we could list off potential reasons and ask several troubleshooting questions. Why go through all that time and effort when looking at the site itself would quickly pinpoint the issue in a fraction of the time? Again, you show no respect for our time and effort. You also take our time away from helping other more cooperative users.
Maybe if you did try volunteering countless hours at support boards you can have some understanding on why you don't want your time wasted by people like you.
And if you looked around in these forums, there are many situations where we can figure out the problem just from the description, but then other issues are the opposite.
We work on this project because we love it and we enjoy helping people. Dealing with people like you on the other hand, takes the joy out of it, and there's no point in ruining our experience with people like you. Since we lose nothing but gain serenity in your leaving, all the better.
