I'm not sure if someone has brought this up or not but I've seen this on some other sites. Its basically they let you hot link their pics up to a certain amount of bandwidth and then when it goes over it gets replaced by something else like the logo of the site its being hosted by. But in either case the main things im suggesting are:

-Bandwidth quota for users
-And once they go over their bandwidth within a set amount of time (day,week, month) the image get's replaced by whatever you like.

I forgot what image service did this.

If it's something to do with hotlinking, coppermine won't have access to that information, which would be in the access logs.
