Show thumbnails on a separate page (as an include)

I'd like to show thumbnails of the latest 2 or 3 images added to my gallery on my main index page. Is there a way to mod a bit of code that shows the thumbnails for the latest uploaded and write a separate file to use as an include on my main page?

I just found the ssi.php mod. I did search before I posted.. honestly! Just took me a little while to find it. :D
