USer Mode and Authentification
« on: April 27, 2005, 01:54:50 pm »

Hi There,

I am actually looking the proper way to create a double authentification in once, i do explain :

During the user registration, asking for user, and password. AND password for consultation.

So it means the user have two differents password, one is to put pictures and create album
and the other ONLY for consultation.

If anybody have already done this kind of thing, or any idea ????

Thx a lot in advance,
AL

Hi,

Double login for one user, means if the user would like to give access on his own album to somebody else, he will just give
the same login but a different password to have acces on the album but with this account the user logged cannot change anything

The next coppermine version (cpg1.4.x) which is currently in beta stage (no release date known yet) will have something along those lines: you (or your users) are able to assign a password to an album. This way, you can invite users to see private albums by telling them the password (which will only allow them to view the album, nothing more).
