404 error when navigating to subcatagory
« on: April 05, 2005, 10:44:27 pm »

My site:
http://cerberuscanyons.com/cpg132/index.php  (login/pass = cpg132/cpg132)

When I click on a subcatagory (e.g. California) it should take me here:
http://cerberuscanyons.com/cpg132/index.php?cat=2

But instead tries to take me here:
http://cerberuscanyons.com/cpg132/%5C%22index.php?cat=%7BArray%5B5%27cid%27%5D%7D%5C%22
(using Safari - it attempts a slightly different but similarly broken link using IE).
In fact it displays the same broken link for all subcatagories; the only link that seems to work is the link to the Top-level Album "Spatula City".

When I move the albums out of subcatagories into either catagories or root, I can access them, but I still can't navigate to the catagories or subcatagories.
Can you help?  Thank you!
Steve

I can't access your site.  It requires login credentials.

** EDIT ** Just saw the login stuff.  I'll check this out.

Your category links have this kind of crap in them:

http://cerberuscanyons.com/cpg132/\"index.php?cat={Array['cid']}\"

Have you modified any of the files?  Where did you download Coppermine from?

I noticed that in the link (in IE), but I don't understand where it came from/what it is.

I've (obviously) modified my style.css and theme.html in my themes.  The only change in my theme .html, really, was that I removed the text header and replaced it with the graphic "cerberus" header you see, and added the text/links directly beneath that masthead.  I don't think I changed any files outside of the themes/cerberus/ folder.

I downloaded Coppermine here (sourceforge).
Would it make any difference that I initially uploaded/installed from a mac, but then edited the theme from a pc?  (capitalization / unix / linux issues?)

thanks for taking a minute with this.
 :)

No, more than likely there's a corrupted file somewhere.

Just download a fresh copy from here, extract on your local computer, and then ftp the new files to your website.  Overwrite all the existing files.

Your custom theme will be ok, and you don't have to run the installer again.

See if that fixes it.
