Subdomain album address...
« on: April 02, 2005, 09:08:11 am »

Is there anyway we could get a feature that assigns a subdomain of my domain to each user ? Example, Username: marcamillion, the subdomain for their album or group of albums would be http://marcamillion.mydomain.com. If it is possible could it be added to 1.4 plz :)

Thnx

Um, I don't think that's possible. This requires access to editing the account's dns entries and I don't think coppermine or any script can do that. Maybe I'm wrong.

PS. There has been a feature freeze on v1.4.

What you want can be possible by using a DNS wildcard entry and a few mod_rewrite rules and small amount of tweaking to CPG itself.

A shorter answer is - out of the box it is not possible with just tweaking cpg
