How to know what filetype an item is with custom thumbnail?
« on: March 29, 2005, 05:04:52 pm »

I use custom thumbnails for each of my videos on my Coppermine installation. In my archive I have both photos, videos and wav files taken with my digital camera. Unfortunately it seems impossible to know in the Thumbnail view if it's a video or a photo.

Is there a way to display to the user what file type an item in an album is on the album thumbnails page if I use custom thumbnails?

I haven't been able to find anything about this while searching yet. I saw a hint that perhaps text overlay on images is coming up in a future version so maybe that could be used to output the file type (like video, flash, music etc). Is there some label I can activate to show the type of file or at least the filename?
