Field in "Cofig" to edit Offline message
« on: March 28, 2005, 07:18:53 pm »

I've searched for this and couldn't come up with anything...  But I wanted to edit my "Gallery is Offline" message, and since I'm no php expert... it was a challenge.

So maybe you guys can add a field in Config so we can edit that message easily? If you could make it so that it takes html that would be great also.

Thanks for everything! I don't know what I'd do without Coppermine!  :-*

You can edit the language file in the lang folder.

Wait til you see the number of options available in the next version... Sorry, but I don't think this is one of high priority... If we have too many options, it makes Config overwhelming.

Also, when it is done in the config, it is no longer possible to make it specific to the user's language. So if your visitor doesn't speak your language, they're not going to understand the message. And that will be the biggest argument to turn down this request.

We are glad that you like coppermine and appreciate you taking the time to propose a suggestion to improve it.
