Forbidding external linking?
« on: March 23, 2005, 10:27:47 pm »

It seems there are people linking directly to the pictures of a friend's gallery. He'd like to avoid this, I tried using .htaccess but it even asks for the pass and username when you access to the gallery :?, I've been looking at the FAQ and I made a search over the forum, but I couldn't find anything about this issue, just about saving the pictures or watermarking them.

Is there any way to avoid external linking? Thanks in advance.

You might want to search for hotlink protection. Maybe even ask your host since suggested solutions here might not be applicable to your system.
