want to transfer my gallery

i have two questions

1.  I am currently running nukephp but want a much simpler type of blog site that can intergrate with my coppermine gallery.  can  someone please reccomend a better blog program?

2. Is therer anything i must specifally do to retain all members and images from my gallery before transfering

I have no experience with blog software, but afaik there are no convertors available to convert user data from a nuke install to another database driven app. I think there has been a posting though about converting nuke users to coppermine standalone users, so if you're going to use coppermine standalone (not bridged with another app), you should do a search.
