Is it possible to sort categories by date?
« on: March 02, 2005, 02:42:59 pm »

I have a s**t l**d of categories and it would be great if the newest added gategory ended up on top by default. Is this possible?

Thanks

Sorry to dubbel post like this, but I saw from an earlier post made by GauGau that what I am asking for is not possible. So I would like to re-phrase my question to something that might BE possible ;-) Is it possible to have the latest added category at the top rather then at the bottom of the choosen  Parent category?

Cheers

in theory: yes - you would have to make some code changes, haven't looked into it in detail. In the next coppermine version, you will be able to either use the custom category order you set up in category manager or have them sorted alphabetically no matter what sorting order you specified. Sorting by creation date will not be a feature in cpg1.4.x though, sorry.

If someone could find it in there heart to give it a try, I would become a really happy camper  :)
