Batch add to import directory structure
« on: February 27, 2005, 04:14:42 pm »

I'm staring down the barrel of a complete re-upload of my image database in the near future.  I've done alot of IPTC tagging of the images on my local machine and want that information added to CPG.  IPTC is unrelated to this feature request, it simply explains why I need to upload my entire library.

My images are sorted in folders and subfolders, as are most local image libraries.

When doing a mass upload, I'd like the following to happen:
1.  Create categories for all but the lowest-level folders
2.  Create albums for the lowest-level folders
3.  Upload images into those categories and albums

Running through the batch add process just now, it shouldn't be too much of a difference.  Use the same subdirectory interface that already exists, but in the "Put files into" dropdown the default option should be "Create [category] / [category] / [album]"

Thank you sir for the mod.  Any idea if this is going to make it into a future version of CPG?
