Critical Error: TO MANY CONNECTIONS?

hey there, i went to my gallery recently, and this is what it says

Coppermine critical error:
Unable to connect to database !

MySQL said: Too many connections

thats all i cant get into anything? what does that mean? and how can  i fix it!
also if it helps the gallery is at www.paris-online.org/Gallery/
