Can I move users' albums into cetegories?
« on: December 26, 2004, 06:27:19 pm »

Basically what i need is that all users when registered have their albums in one category, but then I can pick out the ones I think are special, and place them into a different category. Help appreciated. Thx.

how to create a category: go to category manager and create a new category. Moving user albums is not that easy though, didn't you rather want to move pics instead of albums?

I created a category, and I need to move some albums (of users) in there. Not pictures. How is it not easy? But is it possible?

not possible with coppermine's user interface - only directly on the database (using a tool like phpMyAdmin). I'd rather create a new album within the cat you created (name it similarly to the existing one), move the pics over in one go.

OK so after your advise of creating the new album within the catagory how do you move the images?

When entering a category you see the albums which are placed there. If logged in as an admin you see the option "Edit Files". Use that option to set in which album a picture should be.
