Ability to email users & ability to specify required fields in reg

It would be nice to be able to generate an email that goes out to all of the registered users.

Also it would be nice to be able to specify certain fields as required during registration.

mass admin emails have been requested before (and turned down), but there's a mod that will accomplish this. Search the board why the request has been turned down if you want to find out about details.
We have a "one issue per thread" policy for a valid reason: it's makes tracking of threads easier. As your first request has been turned down, the whole thread is turned down...
