No, may be in future versions...

But coppermine has short URLs.
Example:

http://www.yoursite.com/cpg/displayimage.php?pos=-12

where 12 is the pid of the picture.

also search for threads with mod_rewrite on the forum - they will help if you run Apache as your webserver
