Moving to a new domain host, want to keep gallery
« on: January 23, 2005, 02:45:39 pm »

Sorry if this has been already asked (couldn't find topics for it), but I have a coppermine gallery installed on my domain, yet I am changing hosts. Is there a way I can backup all my files and configurations so I won't have to totally reinstall? Thank you.

This might help: http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=13480.msg62321#msg62321

A few things you have to remember are:
- export your mysql database
- download your coppermine files
- upload the pics to the new host, with the same folder setup as on the old host
- import the mysql data into the new mysql database
- upload the coppermine files and be sure to edit config.inc.php so it will be set for the right mysql database
- run thru the config page and see if anything needs changing there as well

has been asked and answered very often already, try re-phrasing your search.
