Allow users to upload other places than in their user gallery
« on: January 11, 2005, 09:43:42 am »

It would be great if permissions for each category could be set so that you could allow users to create albums in selected categories instead of only in their own user gallery.

Another competing 'gallery' can already do this :-)

Is there really no one else that wants this?

I chose to use gallery on our companys internal homepage because of this limitation.

Advanced permissions are being discussed for cpgNG (cpg2.0). This has been requested before, that's why nobody answers. In fact, feature requests don't get answered every time, most of them just get noted. Think of the feature requests board as a big poll - we're getting ideas from users, we can see what get's requested most. If a dev feels a certain feature should be implemented, he/she starts a discussion on the closed dev board, or just codes the feature (if it can be accomplished easily) and commits.
