installing Mysql database w/o control panel

Is there a way to add a database for coppermin w/o a control panel?  I have a subdomain w/ no control panel. thanks for the help in advance!

yes, mysql databases are installed. just dont have a control panel to add them

its hosted by a friend, and currently i cant get a hold of him (he is out of town and wont come back for a week) and i wanted to know if there was another way.

Did he supply you with a MySQL username, password and host name?  Did he give you any information about where the database is located?

If not, you'll just have to wait until he gets back.
