Only IP number shown instead of User name
« on: November 06, 2003, 03:51:22 pm »

When people upload pictures on my gallery only their ip number is shown and there is no username shown in the "latest upploads" on the frontpage.

This worked before and then sudenly it stopped.
Does anybody know what might be wrong or do I have to reinstall everything and lose all information.

Thankfull for an answer
/Mikael

I have it running at this adress

quite strange becouse it worked perfectly a couple of days before and now it only prints out the IP number in the SQL database and no user name

as I said it worked before but the latest 2 pictures and if i try to upload a picture myself it doesn't print the username to the database and therefore doesn't show on the first page.

i gues the problem will be solved if i reinstall it but then I will lose all information, so I woult prefer another solution.

Thanx

If you're in admin mode and upload a picture it does not write your user name to the db and that's the way it's intended. Try logging in as a user and upload BINGO it works.

Unfortunaatly thats not the problem, it dosn't print the name to the database even when it's a normal user loged in on the site.

Strange, isn't it ?

what was the use of your posting to be a new thread?  I merged it with the existing thread.
If your intention was to bring it to the bottom of the board, a simple bump would have done.
