Trying to move gallery to new host
« on: December 21, 2004, 12:42:01 am »

Hi, I had to close my account with the host where I created my gallery. I exported the database to a .sql file. Then at the new host I imported it using phpAdmin and created new database using the old database name. Also downloaded all the coppermine files from old host and uploaded to the new host.

Now I am wondering what other steps i need to take. All my experience is with MS technology and I am not familiar with mySql databases. From reading the posts here, I think I need to create a new database user. But I can't find any such information in the config.php file. I would appreciate if anyone could tell me:

1. Where to find the username and password I need to put into the database.
2. How to point my coppermine gallery to the new database.

Thanks so much. IF there is already a document on how to move galleries, I would be grateful if you mention it.
