Change QUICKTIME MOVIE loading parameters.
« on: November 29, 2004, 06:35:38 am »

Is there some parameter I can change to make quicktime files stream? WMV files seems to stream fine. Right now, the quicktime has to load completely before it plays, which is annoying because people have to wait for a long time. I am asking because if I direct my browser to load just the quicktime file link it starts playing immediately. Thanks in advance.

Streaming is a server configuration issue, there's no setting in Coppermine that enables streaming of videos.

Thanks. I just don't understand why it doesn't just start playing in coppermine and has to load the whole movie first but it plays properly if I just load the quicktime movie directly with a weblink. I am converting all my quicktime to wmv since wmv seems to work fine with coppermine.

For those wondering what software I used.

RAD Video Tools: Convert to AVI
Windows media encoder 9: encode to wmv
Windows media encoder 9 SDK: Have to have this if you want to batch convert the avi files, RAD can batch convert to avi.
