Changed my MySQL Password
« on: November 27, 2004, 05:09:07 pm »

Hi,
I installed Coppermine and everything worked fine. I deleted the MySQL account which I used while installing Coppermine. I have another admin MySQL account for the server.
Now Obviously Coppermine says Critical Error: Can't connect to database and then the MySQL error thing etc etc. I can't access the page.

Quote
Coppermine critical error:
Unable to connect to database !

MySQL said: Access denied for user: 'ODBC@127.0.0.1' (Using password: NO)

How do I change the MySQL username and password which I initally entered while installing Coppermine.
Is there anything I can do about it?
Thanks for any help.

I think you have to change it in \include\config.inc.php.

hama thinks correctly, it's the include/config.inc.php file which is on the server.

Yep got it.
It's actually \cpg132\include\config.inc for Coppermine.

well obviously I meant the include folder within your coppermine folder, which couldl be called all sorts of different things, from 'gallery' 'albums' 'pics' or whatever.

We have no such file, config.inc. The one we have ends in .php. Such a file ending in .inc would be a huge security risk. Are you sure the file name is config.inc?

They talk about config.inc.php in include, I think.

By the way your website looks good, I like the cats ...  :)
