see who rated what picture!
« on: November 15, 2004, 04:05:50 pm »

i dont know if this counts as cross posting (if some admin can remove this thread), but i would liike to wish this funktion into CPG 1.4

http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=11618.0

I want to see (as admin) who voted example 0 on a picture. Because i have some problems on my gallery that some user(s) votes 0 on pictures just to be mean to other people so i wolukd really appreciate this feature!

Nicke work anyway! ;)

may be no user is deliberately doing this to you, but the search engine spiders are causing this behaviour. Disallow guests to vote to stop search engine spiders from voting.

This is being considered, with the drawback that you either have to do some JavaScript bullshit or use a form for voting (search engine spiders don't submit forms). As a workaround, you could cange the order of your rating buttons (this way the search engine spiders would vote all pics with "5" instead of "0", which of course only fixes things cosmetically).
In the long run we will probably have to go for a form-based voting system together with some JavaScript magic that submits the form on the first click of a rating button.
