...the main category.

lets say theres a Sub-Category named B under the big category, named A. the pictures that are in B dont count to the number of pictures in A. if category B had 2,000 pictures in it, and category A had 0 pictures in it, then category A would still have 0 pictures in it. on the main page on the right where it says how many pictures are in that category, thats where it doesnt add the sub categories pictures to the main category.

can anyone make a hack or something, or try to get it so the number of pictures in category B will be included in the total for category A.

This has been asked before (and answered). Accomplishing this would mean adding a lot of queries to the index page (which would considerably slow it down), that's why only first level albums are being taken into account for the stats. There's no mod yet that adds all necessary queries to come up with "full" stats, you're welcome to post your hack if you come up a hack that does what you suggest it should. Keep in mind that category nesting can be infinite..
