changing categories to albums
« on: November 09, 2004, 10:11:58 pm »

Hi, I hope this hasn't been posted elsewhere... I looked and couldn't find it anywhere so sorry in advance if it has.

I created a category under a category and I would like to switch it to an album.

I hope this is clear enough.

I don't want to have to delete the pictures & everything.

Thanks :)

If more information is needed, just let me know I can post screenshots or whatever. Thanks in advance!!!

Could you post a link and point out what you want to do?

Categories can't hold pics, only albums can. Albums can reside in categories, sub-categories (or no category at all - the root category). Converting categories to albums is not possible, but looking at your question there must be something wrong in the first place: it's impossible to have a category within a category that actually holds pics - there must be an album somewhere. Albums can easily be moved around.

P.S. Support requests mustn't go into "general discussion", that's what the description of the "general discussion" board clearly says. Post a link to your site as TranzNDance suggested, so we can move this thread to the proper support board it should have gone to in the first place
