adding an CM image to a different page
« on: October 29, 2004, 02:24:58 pm »

1st off - been reading these forums all night!

here is the scenario - a girl friend of mine is using coppermine to put all her images on there.  i would like her the ability to choose what picture (s) to be on the front page (non coppermine front page).  The only way i can think of is making an album for each image on her front page then using the SSI script to load an image into those spots.  She would have to move pictures in and out of albums to select them (ie putting a photo in album "spot1" would make it show up in spot 1 on the site).

before i go through with this all, can anyone tell me if this is a rediculous way to go?  I am not looking to rely on someone for an answer - just some direction.
it's 8:30 am and i have been coppermining all night long :D

thanks alot!

It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here

re-read the instructions for the ssi mod - of course you don't have to create an album for the pics on the front page. You can use the ssi function multiple times on one page.
