Add to Favorites does not persist across sessions
« on: October 29, 2004, 05:17:21 am »

Hi,

I am finding it hard to work out where the Favourites images are stored.  It seems almost as if, these
are stored with session information for the current browser session and then discarded afterwards...  Is
this the case or am I missing something.  I would really love to have a list of Favourite images that
persist for as long as the user wishes to have them as part of their favourites list.

Thanks for any information

Cheers
Jason

Hi, jasonpell. The information of favourites images is only stored in cookies.

server-sided favorites will be in the next coppermine version only (cpg1.4.x), which is currently under alpha testing stage - no release date known yet.

Hi,

Any change of a backport of server side favourites to 1.3 version?  Would it be possible to isolate the number of changes and apply a diff (at users risk) to 1.3.2 code base?

If someone could identify the scripts that require changes, I would be interested in having a go at this mod myself!

Thanks

you're welcome to test cpg1.4 (check out the cvs), but remember there's no support for devel versions, and it's not recommended for production use yet.
A backport is not planned afaik.
