Multiple Search Fields using ssi.php
« on: October 30, 2003, 05:40:59 pm »

Is there a way to make a search field that only looks inside one category?  For example...I have broken up the gallery into two main categories:  800x600 and 1024x768 (wallpaper sizes).  Inside them are subcategories.  Both main categories have the same number of subcategories, the only difference being the subcategories in each main category only have wallpapers that of that size.  Is there a way to make two search fields where one will only search for wallpapers in the 800x600 main category and one will only search in the 1024x768 main category?  Remember, I want to use ssi.php for this.  I want to do it this way so my visitors only have to search for the size they need and they don't have to weed out the size they can't use or don't want.

the usage of ssi.php is not recommended any more (unsecure) and therefor unsupported, but in this case it doesn't make a difference - the search in ssi.php uses the same techniques as the built-in search of coppermine.
