Why doesnt it link to the larger image???

Hello,
When you go to my gallery and click on one of the thumbnails it takes you to a page where there is a small square, clicking on this then shows the larger picture. However I would like it so that when you click on the thumbnail that it takes you directly to the page with the larger picture. How is this done?

Try this:
 - In your config page, section "Pictures and thumbnails settings", select "No" in "Create intermediate pictures".

Although that should take care of your problem, I'm curious about the reason why the intermediate picture is missing but don't have a clue about it...

when you don't use "Create intermediate pictures" the big image is loaded into the intermediate view.

This has as side-effect that loading can be slow on large images.
Good thing is when clicking on image the big screen view loaded fast.
