Media Direct Link Function and Broken Link Report
« on: October 18, 2004, 10:19:45 am »

Direct Add url to add media file. Such as link form window media server "mms", Real Media Server "rmtp", or direct "http".

Breaken link report form vistor or member

This two function is easy to redirect some media file which are already in the interent and prevent the lack of the storage in public web hosting. That's not mean I can redirect other media for other web site but for personal use. On the other hand, breaken link functioin is use for prevent if the linking is out of order if this function is added. I hope this can be your next or next next version. I am really looking for your new version  ;D

there will be no plain hotlinking in coppermine - this has been discussed before. The generally accepted idea was to give away a piece of code the webmaster of the remote server (the one you want to hotlink from) has to put on his page to authorize you to actually hotlink. Coppermine would then check if the hotlink authorization existed on the remote server and would only allow you if yes.
Nobody has come up with any code to accomplish this yet though.

This has been requested and discussed in the past several times (in fact all the feature requests you have posted so far), please search the feature requests board as well before actually posting new requests.

Implementation of new features will become more likely if you give a proper explanation of the feature you want - only coming up with a few words usually isn't enough (especially if English is not your first language).
