Want to set specific thumbnail for top-level User Gallery page
« on: October 17, 2004, 04:37:44 am »

I would like to be able to specify a specific image to be used in the top-level of the User Gallery category.

I see how to do this for individual albums but not for the thumbnail displayed when you select User Galleries from the main page.  I would like to put a picture of the actual person in that spot rather than the last uploaded image.

I found a post referncing this in the 1.2 forum but it does not seem to apply to 1.3.

Any help would be appreciated.

This is correct.  The "Album Thumbnail" feature is not working.  Is there a workaround for this?

The 'abum thumbnail' is working correctly.  The thumbnail that Jagmeister is talking about is the one for the users sub-category in the user galleries category.

This is not selectable and as far as I know, no-one has coded this.

I understand now.  Didn't quite get "Top Level", but now I do.  And you're right, it does work when going to the Album itself.  Would be a nice feature though, to make a custom thumbnail for the Top Level.

Thanks Casper.

I too am interested in such a feature. As requested above, I would like to select the best picture from user galleries and put it on the index page, just like the categories have. Is someone working on this?

Also, I have a related question, maybe it's something I did wrong but the option to assign a thumbnail to a category is not always given. I double checked that those problematic categories all had albums which contained at least one image, but still the option wasn't provided.

Is this solved yet in any other forums?  I would love this.
