pls help me w/ regards to batch adding thru ftp

hi i really need help!

i have made a new directory on my ftp...but when I click the batch add pic...the dirctory says "not writable" then when i click on it...
it says...Warning: the script can't write in this directory, you need to change its mode to 755 or 777 before trying to add the pictures !

how do i do that? i did change the "default drctory mode" from 0755 to 755 or 777 but it still wont work...pls help...i only have 1.2 version :(

You do it with the same tool you used to create the folder, your ftp program or cpanel.

In your ftp program, right click on the folder, and you should see something like 'properties', or 'permissions' or 'chmod'.

Change it here.  Note, not all ftp programs can do it, and not all hosts allow you to do it.
