ok, what i would like to do is add a link on my main page of one or two images that would update when i update my gallery. My problem being that my main page if HTML and the CPG is php, any suggestions as to how to write the code in?

html is static, it can not contain dynamic content. If your webspace is php-enabled, change your main page to be a php file, then use the random inage or rss feeds mod from the mods board.

ok i DLed the rss feed mod, please forgive my php ignorance.. but what do i do now? how does this work? i changed the two lines and uploaded it to my gallery folder

read the instructions that come with it, and read the thread where the mod is being discussed. Locking this thread now (you're not supposed to start threads in "General discussion" if you're actually looking for support in the first place).
