integration with mailman email discussion list
« on: October 26, 2003, 02:03:02 pm »

I would really love it if I could integrate the members of a mailman discussion list as a user group for the gallery.  I haven't had much luck in doing anything with mailman myself, though.

integration with mailman email discussion list

haven't looked into mailman, but if it keeps the user data in a mySQL database it shouldn't be to hard to build a bridge file. Why don't you look into the brdige files that already come with coppermine and try to build your own.
Another solution could be to write a little conversion script that reads the mailman user table and writes it into the coppermine user table.

I can't speak on behalf of the dev team on this issue, but I think there are only very few people who actually use mailman and coppermine, so there probably won't be "official" support. Of course we'd appreciate you sharing a hack if you manage to do the integration.

I'll look into those suggestions and of course if I come up with anything I'll be happy to share.
