multiple registered users into one album
« on: September 15, 2004, 08:49:30 pm »

Hello,

I'm building a website for some friends. I want to create one folder where some of them can upload pictures. I tried to create it, but the only way I found out was to create a category with multiple folders in it. Can I give multiple users upload-access to one particular folder?

Thanks in advance,

Wouter

You can create 'albums' which allow many to upload to.  You can do this in categories you create, or even in no category, so the album is always on the gallery front page.

You need to create the album, then change the album properties by clicking on the 'properties' button, next to the album thumb.  Set 'visitors can upload' to yes.  Then go into groups, and make sure all your users are in a group that has upload permissions.

It has been a long time now since I did my little bit here, and have done no coding or any other such stuff since. I'm back to being a noob here
