Problem with /userpics directory.
« on: October 12, 2006, 08:47:00 pm »

I've moved to a new hosting and re-install coppermine (clean install), then I noticed that when users uploads their pics, coppermine does not generate folders for each users in the /userpics folder, instead, coppermine just put all uploaded files in the /userpics folder. (instead of /userpics/1000x/ as it should be).

Does anyone know hot to fix this problem?

I'm using CPG 1.4.6 bridge with IPB 2.1.6

Thanks in advance.

Turn silly_safe_mode off if you don't need it. If you need it (because your webhost is running poorly-configured safe-mode), then you have no choice but to leave things as they are.

Reference:
I'm using CPG 1.4.6
Upgrade! It's mandatory that you do so! Most recent version is cpg1.4.9, so you're 3 versions behind. Why would you install cpg1.4.6 (i.e. an outdated version) when performing a fresh install?

Ah... It's that safe_mode again? Can that (silly) safe_mode be disabled by using the .htaccess?  Because I can change some local value setting (such as memory_limit, max_filesize..., ) in php.ini using .htaccess but withsafe_mode it seems doesn't wors >>> php_value safe_mode Off

*I still prefer to use the 1.4.6 because it was heavily modded....... both by mod pack and not. So if I change to 1.4.9 I will lost the mods I've done.

No, you can't set it in .htaccess, see http://www.php.net/manual/en/ini.php
