In your case maybe adding some rules to .htaccess will do what you want.

<Files admin.php>
order deny,allow
deny from all
allow from <YOUR_IP_ADDRESS>

For example will completely block access to admin.php

You would then need to modify the rule to allow just your ip access. You can use google to lookup other options and how to use htaccess files. Server setup is best explored via websites dedicated to whatever platform your host is running rather than here.

Certainly login.php can be renamed... but if others need to login - you would be updating your menu with the path to the new login page.

How can I do this? I am the only user and I need to block/deny people from admin.php entirely.

Hello from Holland,

I recently installed coppermine and added about 1700 birdphoto's, all worked fine. "out of the blue" I could not click on a category on the main paqe this triggers an error. If I access the albums through albums than view thumbnails everything seems to be fine.   I dont not have a disk space issue, which might be the case with this error. Any idea what to do here? check  and check for yourself, if you like.
Below is the "critial error":

While executing query 'SELECT, r.aid, filepath, filename, url_prefix, pwidth, pheight, filesize, ctime, r.title, r.keywords, r.votes, pic_rating, hits, caption, r.owner_id, pic_raw_ip, pic_hdr_ip
                FROM cpg16x_pictures AS r
                INNER JOIN cpg16x_albums AS a ON a.aid = r.aid
                WHERE (1)
                AND approved = 'YES'
                ORDER BY ctime DESC, pid DESC
                 LIMIT 0 ,8' in include\ on line 1626

database error: 1030 : Got error 28 from storage engine

on line 1626 in  =   $result = cpg_db_query($query);

I selected GD2 as "Method for resizing images" and was able to upload a test file. Please try if batch-add now also works as expected.

Guess what: the folder userpics inside album folder wasn´t there. I just uploaded it before I changed the permissions to 777.
Yes, of course, I am fully open on giving you the info you need. Thanks.

If you agree, I'll send you my contact details so you can send me admin login and ftp credentials, so I can debug the upload procedure.
