Title: Transparency in GIFs
Post by: BrianKessler on August 25, 2004, 04:32:15 am
Whenever a gif with a transparent background is uploaded, an atrocious white stoke is added around the image contents when the image is made into thumbnails and intermediate size objects.

Is this a "feature" in Image Magick?  Or is there something I can do in CPG to fix this?

ImageMagick "feature", nothing that can be done on the coppermine side. Happens on some desktop apps as well, so it seems this is a comon problem when resizing an image. Maybe ImageMagick has an option to prevent this that can be passed to it, using the " Command line options for ImageMagick" in Coppermine config. I recommend taking a look into the ImageMagick docs.
