Title: Make thumbnail sizes always be the same?
Post by: erroneus on August 19, 2004, 12:22:12 am
Sorry if this has already been requested before.. But if it hasn't I think this would be a great addition. Sometimes when banners (for example) are uploaded as pictures it throws widths of the gallery page out of wack because the thumbnail is too wide This can get annoying at times. Also, if you're using an RSS feed into a block on your main page, and a picture your user uploads may be too wide it'll widen your block, mess up the widths of your main page, etc.

So is there any way to make it so that thumbnails can always be the same size? Maybe even as a feature that can be turned on/off and can be configured by the coppermine admin with a specific resolution. To accomplish the thumbnail of a banner-like pic (wide pic) being sized to the specified resolution setting, the thumbnail might have to be cut off..so be it. I've been having to manually edit my thumbnails when someone uploads a picture like that.

I hope some of you other coppermine users might find this useful as well.
