Title: Deciiding the order of pictures
Post by: Ghadafi on August 17, 2004, 02:33:03 am
Is there no way to decide the order in which the pictures will be shown?

As in giving the pictures a number, and telling the album to sort pictures by it?

Making a numbered title for each and every picture seems to be a sort of (pun not intended :p) clumsy way to do it, when even the arguably simplistic http://gallery.menalto.com/index.php have managed this.

I'll work on a hack for this so you can sort the photos in an album just like you can sort the albums

Yeah, that was what i had in mind. :) I think i would be able to implement it myself, but no way in a fashion elegant enough to be included in an official build.

such a hack already exists - "advanced sorting (http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=7541.0)", I have only recently hacked it into cpg1.4 (the devel version that is not availabel as a package, so don't ask for it).
