Title: execute the install.php file
Post by: THYREN on October 22, 2003, 10:03:09 am
Hi,

I'm really ashamed but I"ve got a problem even before the start of the install of cpg1.2.0rc2.

I uploaded all the files on my server but when I try to start the install by executing install.php, I get this error message:

Warning: main(cpg1.2.0rc2/include/sql_parse.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /(my directory)/cpg1.2.0rc2/install.php on line 21

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'cpg1.2.0rc2/include/sql_parse.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /(my directory)/cpg1.2.0rc2/install.php on line 21

I guessed that it could mean that I didn't have the permission to execute it because I uploaded everything with Dreamweaver MX, so I checked with CuteFTP and I saw that I was right. Therefore, I changed the permissions ... but I still get the same error message !!!!

Pffff!

FYI: Apache 1.3.28; PHP Version 4.3.2; GD 2.0.12; mySQL 3.23.49

Thanks in advance...

please check that the files it refers to are actually in place. If you need further help, you'll have to give us a link...

well, I'm pretty sure that the files are where they're supposed to be, so here is the link:

OK ! I deleted everything, unpacked and uploaded everything again and it works! I guess it was because I renamed the folder with Dreamweaver and it didn't update all the files correctly !

Sorry

OK, maybe you learned your lesson  . To all others: do not use a WYSIWYG editor when "customizing" coppermine - use a texteditor (notepad.exe is fine).
