Title: Number of views not accurate?
Post by: seriocomic on July 31, 2004, 10:36:34 am
I have upgraded a friend's gallery from 1.0 to 1.3 at the beginning of the month.

We have noticed a significant drop in the 'visitor views' since the installation of the gallery which doesn't correspond to the number of visits that gallery receives (as per the server stats). Has the method of counting how many times an image is viewed changed???

Hope for an answer...

As far as I know only the users with enabled cookies are counted - and only once per user/cookie.

afaik Carsten is right - the counter in cpg1.0 has been buggy, but can't tell for sure, as I don't run an "ancient" version of Coppermine any more.
