Title: Adding a random header image script?

Ok i did a search and found a few things that were similar but i didnt quite understand what was going on.

ok here is the issue i have :

Vision : I want to add a random image script to the header image on my gallery.
Reason : I have 3 images i want to randomly be displayed as viewers are browsing the site.
Problem : I'm not sure how to go about adding this dynamic content.
Ability : I know plenty of html but not a whole lot of PHP.

Current situation :
- I have this script here that uses SSI,which of course is not supported in the standard Template.HTML or any .PHP file.

- So i changed it to a php script.

- I then just added that into Theme.php to see if that would work but it didnt. So i'm not too sure how to go about doing this.

this has been asked before, please search the board. You could search for the keywords "custom header" oder "custom script".
